6th Annual Tucson Book Festival

Today we returned to our 3rd Book Festival and found wonderful Birthday and Christmas book gifts.  No pictures of those because they will be surprises, but here's some highlights.
For the band director in the family, look out how they recruit kids.

Of course, these instruments will be a little worse for wear.
Jim and I contributed 7 answers before we moved on.

It was pretty crowded, but this young man found a place for a bird's eye view.  It was a great tree for climbing.
Unlike U of A's famous Australian Bottle tree which should not be climbed
Strange looking from bottom to top.
These white tree blossoms smelled divine.  As you can see it was a clear, sunny day.
This tree had red oblong brush like flowers.  Who says Arizona isn't colorful?.  Spring blooms are remarkable.  Wisconsin just doesn't have these exotic plants.
U of A Observatory.  It is a beautiful campus.  It is spring break, so the festival takes over the entire center of the campus.

  Lego Robots

There are lots of kid activities to encourage science.  This little guy really did lift 60 pounds.  There were booths for Science of Everyday Life, Science of Today, Science of Tomorrow, Science in You, and Science in the Natural World.

The wildcat is U of A's mascot.  Unfortunately, the basketball team lost to ULCA today.
