Last Day At Madera Canyon and last sunset

This week has been very cloudy.  But we wanted to have a last picnic at Madera Canyon.
My favorite picnic spot. close to the stream at the top of the Park

I love finding water in the creek.  Imagine this path with song birds chirping and the water tumbling along the rocks.

 Large rocks along the path

A pass in between the ridges

This is the front of a lovely B&B
Here's the view from the path behind

This bridge leads to patio space behind the building.  The creek runs under the bridge.  You can see how the building is really tucked into the side of the hill.
 The patio behind the B&B

 Looking up

Ancient tree holding on through floods and rock slides.

Now we're at the bottom of the Park at the Proctor, White House trail.

Early settlers

Remnant of an adobe wall.

The same creek after traveling down the canyon.

It never flooded the fire road before.

And off the tumbling water goes beyond what we can see.

Lots of green

An explanation of those incredible mountains, canyon formations, and my favorite creek

Last sunset.....................

I think I caught a rainbow.

I hear the snow has melted in Kenosha.  Time to head home.
