Happy Spring everyone. Today is a cloudy 75 degree day, very relaxing sitting on our patio watching the quail family dash from bush to bush. It is hard to believe that there is still, yet, even, another winter storm on the way. This has really been the best winter to snow bird. Last year, many days were warmer in the Midwest than here.
Here's an update on the winter to spring flowers.

The complexes here have curvy sidewalks which "walkers" use to get exercise(if you are not a biker or a desert hiker). Me and my pedometer try to get at least 6000 steps ( about 2 miles ) daily. The grounds are cared for by landscaping teams who rake the rocks, gather debris and blow the sidewalks clean. Our complex is replacing these pale green leafed bushes because they do not bloom even though they are a nice symmetrical bush.
The red tag means is will be removed
These bushes are numerous all over Oro Valley.
The tiny yellow flowers seem to glow in the sunshine. The bushes are rare because they are airy and almost fern like WITHOUT any spines- a very rare desert plant!.
