Western National Parks Association has a large community room next to there gift shop where they host lectures from various experts. That is where we heard about Amerind Museum, Willcox, AZ and where I heard the Wild Flower talk. Charles Hackenbrock, PhD presented an Adventure Photography digital tour of the Grand Canyon, North Rim. When he labels these talks as "adventure photography," he means he travels very far off the beaten path. He is an excellent photographer and his slides are magnificent. There is so much to see in the Grand Canyon and I know I will never tiptoe very far from the rim, so seeing these amazing views was wonderful. Last night he showed slides from his East Africa trips(Kenya and Tanzania)-birds, snakes, elephants, lions, wildabeast, monkeys and 4 different tribes of natives. This world is so diverse, creation is awe inspiring. Still, I am glad to "wander" to those places by means of pictures. My adventures are less risky.
Here are a few pictures of the wonderful sculptures that are scattered around Oro Valley. You've already met Tilly and Terry O'Tortiose. This group of four is found at a local Walgreens strip mall.
They are so life like and the expressions are very animated.
I wish you could see her face better. She has braces on her teeth and has a big smile. She looks so real, you pause when driving to be sure she isn't going to cross the street in front of you.
The action captured between this little girl and the dog is priceless.
Who hasn't swung a child like this and what child doesn't immediately ask, "Again, again."
