Saturday, Feb 21

During this morning's walk, I noticed smoke at the foot of the Santa Rita Mountains.  Smoke is never a good sign.  Wind gusts were up to 23 miles per hour.
It looks like it might be at the Visitor's Center at the beginning of the road into our favorite Madera Canyon Road.
We are a bit nervous around forest fires since we were caught in the awful 2007 Tahoe, California forest fire.  We were there for a family reunion and had to evacuate our rented house.  The fire burned to within 1 block of the house.  The smoke was terrible and many homes were lost as well as extensive timber loss.  This fire gradually diminished and as you can see it was a long distance away
.
This is only the third roadrunner I have seen.  This guy slowed down for a picture
Golf carts are very popular.  However......
Jim and I are considering this for our many off road adventures!!!

Beautiful end to a relaxing Saturday.
