Now that we're such experts of driving on the left side, I have time for pictures.
The lovely Wicklow Mountains
Holiday Inn North Dublin.
Jim, relaxing in the hotel lobby.
We were so lucky to find this wonderful park across from the hotel. We had time before supper to go for a walk. On course, we had a wonderful sunny day on our very last day in Ireland.
I wish Gerry the guide, was here to tell me about these trees. They are massive
The last of the daffodil blooms
Even an amazing curved brick wall must have a sculpted mural
It's the Monday after Easter and in Ireland, it is known as a "bank holiday" There were lots of families with small children. Scooters, bikes with training wheels, and lots of running kids shared our walk around the park.
Spring in Dublin. It will be awhile longer before we have leaf buds in Kenosha.
Jim "drove" the streets on Google Maps until he knew exactly where to go. No problem turning in the rental car - no scrapes, no dents!!!! Hurray for the experienced Chicago driver.
Soooo, it's time to head home with incredible memories of our Ireland tour. We learned so much, enjoyed the Glenbard performances, cherished the Irish relatives 4 generations back that link us to them. These pictures tell only a small sample of all that we saw. If you ask me to tell you about our trip, I might use Gerry's words, " Doooon't get me staaarted." I might talk you ears off.
